Yep It’s a Trainwreck (Week 95)
Sigh
This was not a great week. As you might know if you read the bug alert devlog, there’s been reports of some serious issues in the game and since then I have been scrambling to get the game fixed and playtested. I am actually almost done with the testing entirely, almost everything has been tested aside from one piece of content that I am in the middle of testing and once that is done I have to finish working on a boss fight. Afterwards everything should be set. There’s a number of miscellaneous things that need fixing but they are fairly harmless and will require more time than I want to spend fixing them.
Let’s go ahead and talk about what I have gotten fixed. Brace yourself…
- Gardis Event Blackscreen softlock
- Softlocks in the Sidequest System Story
- Sequence breaks in the sidequest system
- Added Everblossom spawn locations in order to allow completion of the Alchemist sidequests
- Fixed MANY bugs in the Alchemist sidequests that prevents progression
- Added Potion of Regeneration to Alchemist Shop when the side mission to unlock it is done
- Fixed Markstone from bugging out when you exit Red Knight’s realm
- Added XP to more of the sidequests so that they help supplement your leveling experience
- Fixed some collision issues in Underworld
- Fixed the attic of Orphanage
- Fixed Collision in several areas and created jump barriers to prevent breaking indoor dungeons
- Added jump ‘tutorial’ to reenforce the mechanic before you reach Steamy Boulders map.
I’ve begun adding the music for the game into the project and so look forward to experiencing the game in a whole new light. The combat is now largely improved and balanced but the classes have not been completely redone with Striker and Hunter remaining unchanged. I was in the midst of working on the classes when this issue happened, hopefully I can get the full update out soon.
There isn’t much more to say, I will not be working on Tears of Morganna until after this emergency update is released. Have a good week everyone.
