Slower but Still Steady (Week 83)


This week has been slower on the progress side but I am still making some. I had considered yesterday skipping the devlog but I am nothing if not stubborn. 

So right now, I am working on the dialogue of the Caldera fight, which is going semi slow. Ok, quite slow. Branching dialogue is a great form of obstruction to progress and any situation with multiple outcomes takes time to finish. Right now I am working on the last couple of branches before we get into the finale of the demo.

I also took some time to just relax and do some random development for a change. I bought RPG Maker MZ and began experimenting with the Active Time Progress combat style, and I have to say, it’s fun. Besides the strictly turn base style games like SR:MT, I might experiment with some ATP style games. I will not go into detail on this devlog beyond that as that is something for the project’s own page when I make enough headway. I do however promise to not let it compromise the development of the main project, so no worries there.

No word from Xavier and I am not quite ready to commission Zeph again, but I will be checking on Xavier shortly. Once I get done with the Caldera dialogue, I will be getting set to work on a ton of assets for the finale.
