Shattered Realms: Mortal Tale
A downloadable game
Shattered Realms: Mortal Tale is a fantasy rpg made in RPG Maker MV by DracoWyrm Media. The game is expected to be more than 15 hours for the main plot, but potentially far more with the side content.
Gameplay
- Hours of story, side content, and hidden lore
- Classes possess distinct play styles, from the combo oriented Ritualist to the enduring tank that is the Fighter.
- Progression is based on your gear and learning new skills from a trainer and not through leveling.
- Additional skills can be gained through overcoming tough bosses and special challenges and quests.
- Choice based narrative - your decisions and actions affect the final outcome
- Sprinting and Jumping
- Expansive overworld to explore and discover hidden towns and secret locales
- Party members with their own story, and opinions of you as you progress through the story.
- Death Curse System - You stand in Death's way, and to stop you, he has placed a curse upon your soul. Defeat monsters to stave off the constantly ticking Death Timer or suffer a massive debuff that can easily result in a game over.
- Customize your class, gender, and give your character its own identity.
Story
Majoria, a continent who had long experienced peace and tranquility is rattled by the proclamation of the Prophets lead by Prophet Me'zhad, an Age of Chaos was descending upon them, and it would reshape the land forever. Outraged, the nobility laughed in Me'zhad's face. However, it was then that the being who proclaimed himself as Death appeared, laying waste to the kingdom.
Prophet Me'zhad fled, but his fellow Prophets were persecuted, the people choosing to blame them, and soon he was the last standing. He held faith that the second half of the prophesy would come true, the arrival of the chosen of the Gods, a hero. But, none came, and Majoria's suffering worsened. Blaming himself for all that happened, Me'zhad returned to the ruins of the castle where it all began. There, a mysterious goddess promised to bring with her the Hero from the Underworld, though many years may pass...
...500 years later, a nameless soul wakes, and your story begins.
Characters
Nero
The Main Character, named Nero by default. Their story is lost to time, with only fleeting glimpses of the past emerging. They are cursed by Death, making their goal of defeating Death not only a matter of saving the world, but themselves as well.
Yinae
The Spirit Guide, the first ally you acquire in the story. They have a shared history with Nero, and seem to remember more of it than they do. They possess the ability to sense information in the very land itself, revealing ancient secrets.
Iskar
A resident of Hanaru Village, the town Nero wakes up in. Antisocial and distrusting because of the abuse the villagers give her for possessing magic, she is closed off and she doesn't speak much of her past.
Rivia
A mighty barbarian of the Anima race, Rivia asserts dominance in battle and in the party. She aids the Player in a run in with wolves, with the interest of speaking with Baron Radel, the leader of Hanaru. She prefers talking with her fists over diplomacy.
Mieva
A noble Paladin hailing from the Order of Lost Light, she investigates a mysterious wintry blight in the Sacred Valley. Easily described as a goody goody two shoes and a stickler for the rules, she is on a mission beyond merely ascertaining the threat of demons in far off lands...

i wanted to make a female Knight but there was not an option but the characters are very good also a thing that happened to me at some point is that i got stuck in an fight against the red knight and was doing 1 damage without chance to escape the fight as the Martial artist class and even with 100% tp i was unable to use the skill or even the mp skill i had but without these problems its Awesome
Half of the available main character choices are not available at this time but will be available in the full release of the game. It's easier to just focus on four characters instead of having to do... all of them. The Female Fighter does technically exist and I have art for them, just not available yet.
As for the Striker bug, the issue is likely what weapon you are using. Striker has two weapon skill sets, the Gauntlet and the Pata, and if you have Gauntlet equipped you cannot use Pata Style, so on so forth. If you don't have either equipped, you likely can't use either skill set. If you are using either weapon, pressing I think the side arrow keys or a or d should allow you switch weapon when you're hovering over Attack.
Striker is likely due for an overhaul (and not for the first time...), but let me know if none of these things fixes the problem, cause those are the immediate things that come to mind thinking about how the class works. An update is on the way soon that should fix a lot of issues.
thank you
Hi Abyssal, just wanted to let you know I've updated the game and there's lots of improvements now. It's a much more confined and different scenario in the story and the saves won't work. I also tweaked all classes to be able to swap what weapon they are currently using, so now Striker can freely go from Bruiser and Pata styles as they like. You still have to equip the weapons, but now the flow is much faster. Have a good one!
this game interested me quite alot im downloading it now
I hope you enjoy it! I have a new overhauled demo in the works that I hope to have out in the coming weeks, but I hope you find value in what is up at the present. Let me know if there are any problems
