Week 11 Devlog: Marching Foward
This week, I've made more ground on the story scenes, the Laura and President conversation was scrapped, and replaced with a shorter conversation between Laura and General Curnly. Some other scenes have been made, and I'm going to try and polish the human side of things as much as I can before I end the dev week and return to SR:MT.
What remains is a good look at the Intel Office scenes and see what all must go and what must stay. I'm hoping that I can at least cut down some of the fat of that scene and therefore greatly reduce the final runtime.
Assuming I can make enough progress, my intention is to start work in the Primal Realm again, revisiting old content and reworking the story to making the themes shine through better.
With all that out of the way, here is this week's progress on character art!
Mori has outdone herself with Willow, one of the central characters of the party. Her intended role is to be the equivalent of the Dancer archetype, an Entertainer. She is in many ways Wina's rock and morale support, but of all of the characters, is the least experienced in combat and fighting. She tries to make up for this by inspiring her allies to perform better as best as she is able.
Next on the roster is Laura Almongold and Gill, and hopefully after a while we'll get to a point where the majority of the main characters has a corresponding concept art. I may eventually test the waters with Sivestal, which is going to be really cool if Mori can pull him off.
Unfortunately I don't have much to show this week, mostly tell. Hopefully when I return next ToM dev period, we'll have some great stuff for you.
Until next time, take care everyone!
