Devlog # 13

Hello all, another update for you all!

I've been making more strides of late, so let's get into it!

Starting off, I've made extensive revisions to the beginning of Tears of Morganna, and I'm getting to an excellent place. I'm still currently developing the Elemental side of the story but rest assured, I am making good ground on that.

Here is the new intro of the game to give you an idea of the direction I'm going in.

I've also done extensive reworks to combat, having added a prototype build of the Entertainer class, and expanded on how damage is done. Most importantly however, I have begun learning Action Sequences and I expect moving forward to have a lot more dynamic scenes at my disposal. You can see one of my first action sequence abilities here:

The video also shows a hint of an upcoming new boss you will encounter in this updated version of the demo, but I won't expand on it too much. Some of you might have a good idea of what's coming if you're familiar with the original story ending of the demo. On that note, I have a solid idea for the Elemental story in the demo and it will be drastically different, and not nearly as long.  It'll showcase the Elemental Class reworks and then conclude, and won't be nearly as conclusive as the original ending.

I haven't started working on any music for the game, and with some annoyances I'm facing from my current music maker of choice, I may be transitioning to a new music software. I'll have more on that when I've had time to consider my course of action.

I've done a few art pieces for the game, which I won't be showing for spoiler reasons, but the big last bit of info I want to give you all is the brand new Titlescreen. Using Moghunter's animated titlescreen plugins, and the talents of Othellophi, I've put together a titlescreen I think is quite a bit more individualistic from the default engine style. I'd love your thoughts on it and everything else I've shared with you, I'm quite happy with what Mori put together, although based on feedback I may tweak the animated bits.

I hope you've enjoyed the new materials I have for you, and I'll see you again down the road, either with a new demo update or devlog, whichever happens first.

Take care everyone!
