Midweek Devlog #2 - Learning is Fun!
This week, most of my work has been focused on the sideview asset creation side of things. You can see the fruits of my labor thus far in this video. I've still got a lot left to do, but this is the overall style I'm attempting. Please let me know what your thoughts are on this!
I've also started working on a rough battle back concept which will hopefully make the sprites I'm making more visible compared to default battlebacks.I attempted to make some music for the game, specifically by starting with a main theme, but was unable to make progress in this regard.
The plan is to continue working on side view battlers and walking sprites for Wina and get Morgan's going. With those two worked on, I will try and add some base designs for the various enemies. Once enough visuals have been changed, expect an update patch to the demo so you can see it for yourself! I have also made a tile pattern for lava floor textures that I'm hoping to covert into part of a tileset later, you can see what it looks like in the wip battleback.
Once I get some tilesets doing, it will be time to start some initial development of what happens after the incident at Sector 32.
I'm sorry that there isn't more to see, but I hope you understand that progress is still being made at a very good pace. Hopefully next week will bring even more for you guys to enjoy!
